Facebook Reunites

When I first joined Facebook, I really didn't think about connecting with anyone from my past. I was actually just socializing with people I already knew and family.

Then came the games my friends got me hooked on. I can not believe how addicting they can be. I find myself playing 4 different games daily. geez...

Well, this last week, I have reconnected with most of my childhood friends. People I knew from when I was six years old until 18. I can't tell you the memories that came flooding back. The happy times at eachothers houses. Life really was simple back then, wasn't it?

Wiffle ball, hide and go seek, bicycle riding, tag, kickball, pool parties and even collecting lighting bugs!

One of those friends had a great idea and put us all on a email group list. Now we can write to eachother and catch up. Most everyone has written an email. It has been really nice to catch up on our lives...what has transpired since we were all about 18years old.

Has anyone else experienced such a nice happening while using Facebook? I know social sites can cause damage to relationships and I have been hearing that alot lately. It even touched my own life in that way recently, but that's a whole other story...

Looks like another new social network has hit the internet.
It's being labeled as a sharing site.

Acobay lets their members join for free and connect with one another by their "stuff", meaning their shared interests. You add to your wishlist, topic or anything else you want to share and find others who are interested in the same thing.

Another free resource to use as promotion of yourself, your blog, website, products or services.

Social Networking For Pet Lovers

Something I would like to bring awareness to is a new social networking site. I know, there are so many sprouting up, but this site is different. It is dedicated to Pets. You read that correctly. A site dedicated to animals and our pets.

Our Huge Pet Blogging Community will probably be overjoyed. This is a place for like minded pet lovers to gather and exchange photos or information. While I surf blogs, I am thrilled to come across someone who is a pet lover and has developed their blogs solely around animals. Whether it is to help those you cannot speak for themselves or write about the joys of pet ownership or bring awareness about cruelty, I am glad I am not alone in my sensitivity towards animals.

Animals are my weak spot and I realized a dream of mine many, many years ago.I had always wanted to work with animals and I got the chance to work for Animal Rescue Force here in New Jersey. It was a great experience for the 5 years with them, but honestly it became so stressful for me, I had to move on. I am still involved with animal welfare, but in a different capacity.

It's refreshing to see Anamigo trying to launch a site that allow others to feel comfortable in sharing or bragging and realize how important our babies are to us.

This site just may become the portal for 'everything animals'. They showcase blurbs of blogs dedicated to animals, have links regarding healthcare, pet services, pet friendly businesses and travel, animal welfare, pet stores and recreation. The adorable pictures of animals had me ahhhh'ing for awhile.

If you're a pet owner you may want to upload some of your babies pictures and brag alittle about your best friend. There is a difference between pet lovers and non lovers and at Anamigo, you can join a community with other like minded people.

This site currently in beta is probably looking for any suggestions for creating the best pet networking site possible, so if you have any ideas, drop them a line. So far, I don't have any two cents to contribute. I liked what I saw.

Are You a Star?

Did you always want to have your moment in the spotlight? Your 15 minutes of fame? At YawpBox you have the opportunity to use your own content for a chance to be used on a TV show.

Ordinary people are sharing their 'moments' and being viewed. Some of the many categories to submit video, audio or pictures include: events, romantic, funny moments, adventurous or even some ridiculous moments that were captured. People from around the globe can see your experience and determine how it rates compared to others in the same category. If you come out on top, your submitted content can be used for a YawpBox TV show that will air in March 2008.

Lex & Terry will be hosting a magazine style TV show in front of a live audience in Texas. They will be showing the most popular videos submitted by the YawpBox social networking site members. I'm sure this will provide many laughs, tears and cheers.

Some of the topics had me curious for sure...the best prank, best tattoo, best sports experience and one video under the wedding topics, had me quite amused. This wedding dance is just something to see. I don't want to ruin it for you, so go check it out.

Also on the site is a games tab, which allows you to play games created by YawpBox. Challenge your friends or acquire new friends on the site and test your skill.

I have noticed it's just human nature to be curious. American Home Videos had us laughing for years. Now YawpBox is providing a way to see others in action and provide hours of entertainment by peeking in.
