A Thank You Link Love Post

I want to send out a special thank you to all the people who have dropped by my blogs for a visit, shared a kind word or left a comment. You all have been encouragement, a support group so to speak and what keeps me going. I can't believe I have been blogging for two years now.

Link love to all the Entrecard droppers who happened to find my blogs this month. I may not be a dedicated Entrecard dropper myself, but believe me, your visits do not go unnoticed. I appreciate the 'drops' and the requests to add your widgets to my blogs.

My communities, My Blog Log and Blog Catalog have enabled me to connect with such wonderful people who I may not have 'met' otherwise. You are all such a treasure.

Learn how you can send a FREE card to a solider by going over to my blog...The Many Pieces of Life and reading my post.

Xerox is doing something very special and it truly is FREE. This is a wonderful way to show our appreciation and say "Thank You". It will only take a few seconds of your time, but will mean so much.

Being Thankful on Thanksgiving

Today as we celebrate Thanksgiving with our families and friends, will you truly take time out to reflect on what you are thankful for?

I have been doing that quite often this year. Pretty much on a daily basis...being thankful. For my health, for my life, for all I have, my family and friends, the opportunities that come my way and the love that surrounds me.

Abundance can be brought into your life if you declare to the universe that you are thankful. This can easily be done on a daily basis. I find that I'm in a better mood when I take time to appreciate something that makes me happy and be thankful for it. My heart seems to fill with happiness...

What are you thankful for?

I think many, many people take for granted what they have in their life. Maybe focusing only on the negatives...the problems, the stresses, the little things that may annoy or aggravate you. We might forget what we have and appreciate them.

Count your blessings. Take a moment each day and be thankful for something in your life. As you're driving in your car or sitting quietly by yourself, even while watching TV... just take a minute and be thankful.

As you see something that excites you or makes you feel good, as you smell food cooking, drive to work, come home to family, enjoying the company of friends or even your pet, your many possessions, your health and so on...be thankful!

Some people are not blessed as you and I are. Many have worse problems or live in worse conditions and/or simply do not have all that we have.

Take a break during your day...starting today...and be thankful and count your blessings...ask the universe for more of what makes you happy. Be positive and say...I like this...bring more more!

May you all enjoy your Thanksgiving. Many blessings to you all

Forgetting What Memorial Day Means

Along with the other holidays we observe...we are nonchalant about the true meaning. Christmas is Santa Claus and gifts, Easter is candy and the Easter Bunny, Forth of July is fireworks and so on...

Let's take a minute (just ONE minute) to observe Memorial Day. As you read this post, remember....

Memorial Day is a United States Federal Holiday that is observed on the last Monday of May. It was formerly known as Decoration Day. This holiday commemorates U.S. men and women who have died in military service to their country. It began first to honor Union soldiers who died during the American Civil War. After World War I, it was expanded to include those who died in any war or military action.

Many people visit memorials and cemeteries. The US Flag is flown half mast from dawn until noon. Volunteers place an American flag on each grave site located in a National Cemetery.

This also is the time when people get together for barbecues, family gatherings and sporting events. Some towns still hold parades. It's also known for the official start of summer.

But,...I AM taking the time to remember my relatives, my friends and YOURS who have died while serving our country. I am also thinking about the men and women serving in the military right now.

We Shall Keep the Faith
by Moina Michael, November 1918

Oh! you who sleep in Flanders Fields,
Sleep sweet - to rise anew!
We caught the torch you threw
And holding high, we keep the Faith
With All who died.

We cherish, too, the poppy red
That grows on fields where valor led;
It seems to signal to the skies
That blood of heroes never dies,
But lends a lustre to the red
Of the flower that blooms above the dead
In Flanders Fields.

And now the Torch and Poppy Red
We wear in honor of our dead.
Fear not that ye have died for naught;
We'll teach the lesson that ye wrought
In Flanders Fields.

On The Road to Recovery...

Hello All...It has been quite a month for me. As some of you know, I have been ill. I was in the hospital for 7 days and home now recoverying.

I want to thank everyone, sincerely from the bottom of my heart who have continued to be supportive and wishing me well even in my absense. I wish I was able to send out a message to those writing and leaving comments, but I just was not up to it.

Of course, during my illness, my blogs were on my mind and wanted to so bady write and continue in the fashion that my readers had gotten used to, but it was just not possible.

Well, now that I am home and on medication, I hope I will be writing more and more. I am looking forward to recoverying and getting back to my normal way of living.

I have some funny stories that I want to share that I encountered while in the hospital. Those were bright spots in my gloomy days. I always try to be positive and look at the bright side of things or find something funny in a situation, so even while sick in the hospital, writing and sharing on my blogs was on my mind.

Thank you again for those continuing to visit and keeping tabs on me. Your thoughts have lifted my spirit, gave me strength and support. I am deeply touched...

A Link Love Tag

I have, unfortunately, let too much go by before acknowledging some tags I received. Better late, than never I suppose. Some link love to you...

Angel baby from Your Caring Angels has yet again tagged me with this little game:

CUT AND PASTE THE FOLLOWING, TAG ANOTHER 5 FELLOW BLOGGERS AND ADD TO THE LIST
Its a great way to meet new people.
Like many, this is a way of increase your technorati and google pagerank. The best methods would be using viral links.
Problem is most of the viral links are already pretty old and probably have been circulated before. Therefore with a cup of coffee, She is starting her own original viral link.

Here goes:
I was tagged awhile ago by Mee mOe and I am passing the viral links to you.
I have randomly selected 5 of you below to be tagged and I hope that you will similarly cut and publish this post in your blog. You will have to tag 5 other new people and just keep adding on to the list. (Do not replace, just keep on adding! Yes we hope it will be a long posts!)
Its real easy and it has a multiplying effect of 5s…i.e first layer 5, then 25, then 125 etc. Tag others and see your technorati authority increase exponentially!

Show Love Everyday

February seems to be the month of 'love'. There is so much hype over Valentines Day. All the card creators and candy manufactures making a bundle. But,...

Why do we need one day to feel we are loved or show our love? I think we should be showing love to all the people in our lives on a day to day basis.

If you happen to be in a relationship, there are so many ways to be romantic. Writing a love letter, a poem, creating a romantic dinner, setting aside one night as 'date night'. If you find you can't be creative and need some help, you can take a peek at Romanceforeveryone.com for additional romantic ideas and lessons on how to be romantic. From love letters to creating a romantic scene using rose petals. For the men, there are tips on romancing your woman and how to write a love note. Believe me, she will love receiving a love letter.

When I met my guy (just so happens it was on February 24), we met a few days later for our first date. As it came time to say goodnight, we each walked out, hand and hand and said our goodbyes. I found myself missing him already as I was driving home. Time just went by too quickly and it was a great date!
I couldn't just say I miss you. He'd think I was crazy, but I decided on writing a text to say how much I enjoyed the date and how much I looked forward to seeing him again. As I hit the send button, I received a text from him. He was saying almost the exact same thing! I still have his text and read it from time to time as a reminder of our first date. It brings a warm smile to my face. We still use texting to this day, just to let the other know we're thinking of each other or set the stage for a romantic night. I find it makes me smile and I carry it throughout the day.

Sometimes it's the little things that mean the most. Romance is for everyone and can easily be brought into a relationship with just a little effort to make that certain someone feel special. It doesn't matter if you're newly dating, in a serious relationship or married. I think it's important to keep up with the little touches to make someone feel they matter and are cared about.

How do you show that special someone in your life they are loved? Share some romantic ideas.

It's All About Gratitude

I am against the war and probably shouldn't share my views here. I do think we should have ended 'the problem' immediately after 9/11, but...

I am proud and thankful of our service men and women who defend US....United States Citizens. Blessings to them, their family and loved ones.

Watch this video, it will touch you.

I just learned my friends 23 yr old son is going over to Iraq in February. I can only imagine the thoughts and fears as a mom she is experiencing, including her sons' fears and all that love them.

Please remember to pray for all involved. It means more than you know.

Thank you to my cousin Nancy, who brought this video to my attention.
